In case you were unaware, you can publish your own music to an rss feed and host it yourself, which gives you full control of the value splits and allows you to be the direct custodian of all value you receive. Permissionless and soverign music publishing has been working for the last 3 years and the latest Fountain update just keeps making the listening and sharing experience smoother! https://fountain.fm/track/awPp1lcbmAfxY3b3g1uC
I need to learn more about this
Here's a sample rss feed: https://github.com/de-mu/demu-feed-template/blob/master/feed-with-comments.xml I'm always happy to answer questions or help people put out albums on RSS. Here's a short writeup we did when we put our first album out this way: https://ableandthewolf.com/v4v
Does this only distribute to fountain? Sorry I'm new this. It wouldn't show up on other platforms like Spotify, right?
not spotify, no. It will show up in all of the podcasting and music apps built on podcasting 2.0 (lnbeats.com, Fountain, Podverse, PodcastGuru, etc.) the full list of apps is available at https://podcastapps.com
