 alternate use for a fist 👊:

starting from the index finger knuckle as January, count the months using the knuckles and the spaces between them.  Each knuckle is a month with 31 days, each space between is a month with 30 days. (except February of course)

 If you have trouble remembering your 9 times tables, use your fingers.

9x1 Put down your first finger.  There are no fingers to the left (tens)  and 9 (ones) to the right, so the answer is 9.
9x2 Put down your 2nd finger.  There is one finger to the left (tens) and 8(ones) to the right. 1-8 is 18
9x3. Put down your 3rd finger.  There are 2 fingers to the left (tens) and 7 fingers to the right (ones). 27
