WHYYYYY? is it just because they think there’s no use in trying to be healthy? is it too late for them? if so i’d understand.
because “i HaVeNt eAtEn AnYtHiNg iN dAyS!!” - Person who just knocked back a six piece meal and XL order of fries last night…probably.
bruh. i’m so tired of the awful American food ideologies. i honestly can’t blame anyone anymore because we’re just born and raised surrounded by the shittiest food which is unfortunately the most accessible and cheapest way to eat.
Yup. I really don’t either. Convenience, affordability, and quantity always wins nowadays. Only time it makes me grumpy is when folks chow down on fast food that is brought in from outside the hospital despite being placed on a specific/healthier diet while I tune em up. 😆
prob needs another jab or two.

Once had a patient with end-stage heart failure on inotropes order fried chicken to her room. *chef’s kiss*
Well, if you’re dying anyway, who the hell wouldn’t want to die eating fried chicken!?
😂…well this was a case of 💀💔 + 💉🌊 = 😊 heart failure. not 💀💔 + 💉 💊 🙏 = 💀 heart failure
Gotcha. Is it easier to focus on triage or do you try to discuss wellness whenever possible? I think I already know the answer, and if so, do you think you will still be doing that in twenty years?
Folks that are sick enough to meet me should’ve had the wellness discussion a long time ago (and probably did…multiple times), but I still try. I only work in the acute/critical setting though. 20 years? Not a chance I’ll be doing this in 20 years. Goal is to be out in <10 and do this for fun/free thereafter 🤞.
