Does #nostr code have a way to sign in to a #nostr app without divulging #nostr private keys, like #bitcoin lightning does for users to “log in” by signing a message or the like?

#asknostr
Yes, via browser extensions like Nos2x and Android apps like Amber. There's also nsecbunker, nsec.app
I use Alby firefox extension to hold my nsec for me, and sign nostr events that I want signed. Works great for everything I do on nostr, including sign-ins.

I am going to check that out
But please keep backup of your keys!
 i made this tool:

and it would be great if it could be examined, fixed, if needed, and turned into an extension of nip-06

the protocol as it is currently is designed to make it as simple as possible to implement, even on very small embedded devices
