the year of the linux desktop has been a meme for 20 years. i don't think that's ever going to happen. though, we have gotten arguably close with Chrome OS.
I still remember the brief but very real excitement back in the early 2000’s when Dell started selling a couple of computers with Ubuntu preinstalled. A major manufacturer recognizing Linux desktop. It was so over for Microsoft for at least 5 minutes 😂😂😂
Oh man. I remember that. Dell was so cool then. Back when their “Dude, you’re getting a Dell!” Ads were everywhere.
DUDE, YOU’RE GETTING @ODELL https://image.nostr.build/3fe71fe2b4af4aeb9c45008543b1a33dbe4cd291e56ea4fd5179c86fbe609f9e.jpg
😂😂
I know, it’s funny. But Linux is winning everything else besides desktop. Desktop operating systems probably won’t matter much in a long enough time frame.
agree. linux is the most popular server OS and mobile OS. woot!
Year of the VM for me. Time to onion route my computing 😂
💥💥 Happy New Year! 💥💥
