The Australian gov is planning to pass a bill in 6 months that would ban social media for under 16yo and will result in all Australians having to KYC for legacy socials access. Most people will probs just follow along but some might start to look for alternatives. I agree that it will take time but maybe not too long.

 I would agree with you also in that it won't shift many to it. Most people do not care about KYC right now and that isn't reason enough to shift. they are used to it. 

 It will be interesting to see how the gov will ‘manage’ Nostr under their new bill. Could be a very interesting case study. I’m predicting no impact at all on Nostr users in Aus. And there are dozens of us!!
