The probability that a hurricane of this size STARTS in the Gulf is near zero. Very suspicious! #nostr https://image.nostr.build/ebbdfddf897cd792f1a9f26926c4d9c1c851b9950c490a403a018ad80a8c651c.jpg
I don't know much about hurricanes. Is it unusual?
99% of them start from the Atlantic and move into the gulf. This one is unusual.
That I understand but isn't the gulf fairly hot water and isn't that more of a reason for its size, I just dont know how this works I'm just asking you one question: DO I PUT ON MY TINFOIL HAT NOW OR LATER?!
There is a long list of cat 3 and 4 hurricanes that started in the Gulf and made landfall in the U.S.

So save my tinfoil then? I was getting excited. Incoming hurricanes always put me on high alert. The adrenaline brings out the conspiracy thinking
 Sounds exhausting!
Sure is! But brings the whole firm and friends around and is spiritually enriching to think about hard times!
Particularly when there's actual havoc in the mid east right now it makes the prospect of new "weather" all more in focus.
It’s a big world, there’s plenty of room for all the possibilities.
Just save some fuckin' smash burger for me when I get up there.
 That’s a guarantee! 🍔
 36 over a 124 year span?
Sounds about right. Rare doesn’t mean never.
That’s not the size of the hurricane. It’s the cone of potential impact, meaning that the eye of the storm is expected to hit somewhere within that area.
It just means they can’t forecast more accurately yet where exactly it will hit
Yes I agree. I’m saying hurricanes don’t start in the gulf like this one did. They start in the Atlantic and move into the gulf 99% of the time.
Hurricanes have and do form in the Gulf of Mexico 🤷‍♂️
This is the Cone of Uncertainty.
Being a bitcoiner does not make you automatically not an idiot. 🙃
 Yes, I know.
If you look at the models by uk and Eu forecasters it is way way different in direction and intensity
