Met my bestie in school, we've had ups and downs, but we now have a relationship that we both need in our lives right now. She's 4 hrs away so we rarely see each other.

Mid twenties sorta counts, I guess? Many folks meet their best friends at some point in school, so it is later than all of that.
Lol, it's all about perspective I guess. I will say that I definitely converse back and forth with my nostr pals more on a daily basis than I have ever talked IRL, or any other social media, except with my hubs or bestie.
I'm also 4 hours away from my bestie and hardly ever see them. we try to make an effort to do a yearly trip but who knows if it'll happen this year or next cuz we're both super busy. I miss the youthful days when we could just be like "Vegas? this weekend? yeah? yeah. pick you up Friday after work."
Life happens. We talk about how when our kids are grown and we have a little more free time, it'll be easier, but I enjoy the time we have now, too.
