Custom feeds based on NIP-51 npub lists?

@straycat is wrangling me in to help get brainstorm.ninja publishing (hopefully dynamic) “suggested users” lists based on shared interest and WoT score. This will be a CROSS CLIENT tool that EVERYBODY can make use of to build THEIR OWN custom interest feeds.

Wondering what native clients ALREADY or will SOON implement NIP-51 lists for user generated custom feeds?

@Nostur has custom feeds, but only relay based so far. Are NIP-51 npub lists just around the corner @Fabian ?

@primal has explore tab with premade options. Would be nice to see user generated npub lists here. We’ve talked a bit about this @miljan ?

@damus has purple… I think “custom feeds” would be a highly desired premium feature. We can make this easy for you @jb55 ?

@Amethyst … I’m not sure the state of custom feeds on this android client. @Vitor Pamplona ?

@Coracle has its own custom feeds mechanism … AND already has NIP-51 npub lists integration. Cause @hodlbod rocks!!

Sorry for the hell thread. You can reply bellow to keep it between @straycat and I. We are interested to work with you all to make custom WoT suggested feeds easier for everybody.
Amethyst has custom feeds based on NIP-51 lists. They show up at the top bar and users can select any other npub list they created for themselves. Now we are also doing NIP51 lists over the Outbox model, so changing the list modifies the relay list that the app is connected to.
Yup, @cloud fodder has tested custom Grapevine WoT lists on Amethyst and they appear to work!

 That’s HOT!! Thanks Vitor!
Voyage has feeds based on lists. You can even combine npub and hashtags in these custom feeds.

The home feed can be set to web of trust if you like.
If you mean NIP-51 lists, then cool — it means Grapevine WoT lists should work for Voyage feeds 👍🏻

btw how does Voyage calculate WoT? Is it the same standard method as most other clients? Which is: calculate my follows & your followers; calculate the intersection of those two sets; the resulting number of npubs = your WoT score; define a cutoff and anyone above the cutoff makes the list.

I ask bc Grapevine WoT lists use a different method than the standard one. I’m hoping to demonstrate that it will have greater versatility and utility for discovering new content.
