It's a work in progress. Taking a 2-week break.
I tend to do test automation, ORMs, RDBs, and utilities. Nothing with a fancy GUI. So, nothing end users see.
@Michael J is trying to coax me out of my hole, to do more client work. We'll see. Test automation will soon start eating into my time.
The test automation will be more valuable in the long run, tbh. Test automation is underrated.
Also just way easier to find devs than automators, and testing fits better to the BA role because I"m supposed to understand the program logic.
Imagine if all business analysts could read and test code. What a world that would be.
I think the label "analyst" is often attached to a role title as code for "we don't really know what this role is for."
😂 You would think that would be standard. Can't analyze something you don't understand.
That'd be like a financial analyst not understanding bookeeping.
You mean like most account managers?
I have friends that work for Vanguard. 🤮
They couldn't keep a company's books.
Yeah, that's what happens when focus on credentials over professional experience.
