I've been really far down that road. 

Of course I am going to be blunt about it.  
 Addictions can be treated. It's difficult but possible 
 How 
 With willpower, learn and understand why sugars can be bad for you and how to avoid it in your food. Cut it slowly and start enjoying new foods.

 Sure you can, you simply have a mindset that refuses to believe that.

Try replacing sugary foods with natural sugars first, like fruits. When you crave unnatural processed sugary foods, eat the fruit instead. 

But first you have to change your mental model that says “I can’t cut sugar” as that is a defeatist mentality to start from. 
 I just can’t understand people who don’t eat chocolate! Sorry 
 I’m allergic… but you can buy chocolate fruits and make your own! I have family members that prefer their own. 
 True, everything you cook at home are many times more delicious than the things you buy in the store. 
 Moderation is important! And the type of chocolate, I’m not suggesting that you can’t eat chocolate, but rather that the mindset of saying you can’t live without eating chocolate is detrimental to your overall health! 
 All this good advice, but as soon as I lay down in bed, the first thing I thought about was what I will eat tomorrow! 
 Humans eat fruits for thousands of years. It is so unhealthy that idiots can post messages on nostr about how unhealthy fruits are.

 I agree with you my words are not for you. 😄 How can be my words for you when I'm supporting your view? You better read twice before replying. 
 You'd be surprised how quickly your taste/conditioning for it fades if you just cut it out. And you1000% CAN cut sugar. The only reason you "cant" is because you say and believe that you can't, but literally anyone can. I bet you've done vastly more difficult things in life. If you legit want to be healthy and cut sugar there's literally nothing at all stopping you. It's just a choice.

If you don't want to then that's fine too. But don't gaslight yourself and say you "can't," because you can. Just choose to do so, or don't. Then accept whatever that decision is. 

(I probably brought way too much seriousness to this simple and lighthearted post 😆, but I think it's an important issue and all of us lie to ourselves a lot and we dismiss how powerful it is to be genuinely honest with ourselves, and just accept that we are in control and be ok with whatever our decisions are rather than hiding behind "I can't" -- there's a lot of power in that, imo) 
 And dont make the mistake I made in thinking that coke zero is "safe".  Actually its incredibly sweet and gives you just as bad cravings.

 Everything you eat is turned into sugar. You just have to stop bombarding your system with a high quantity of refined sugar to stop the insulin spiking and crashing. 
 Technically not true. If you go into ketosis, you end up burning ketones instead. It's hard, but possible. 
 Unused Sugar is turned into fat which is broken down by the liver into ketones. So you don’t get ketones without sugar 
 I'll defer to you, as I don't really know, but if one were only eating fat and protein, so taking in almost no carbs to be broken down into sugar, wouldn't you be skipping the sugar step?  
 Protein is still being broken down into sugar, but it takes much longer than carbohydrates, so you feel fuller longer and it is not as taxing on the body. That’s why you cannot overeat on a protein diet.

 I’m with you Guy. I’ve given the same speech to friends and family who ask me how I stopped eating bread, sugar, chocolate etc

Same with quitting smoking weed. Just stop doing it. There is no secret beyond that. Be in control. 
 It’s a serious issue. Nothing is more liberating than feeling amazing and seeing a piece of cheesecake and not even wanting it. Getting your body to a point of disgust at such things is emboldening.

 When cutting out all process carbs, in my experience it takes about 3 weeks and you no longer have the craving to eat those things. 
 I have a feeling this is how long it takes for the microbiome to die that specifically eats those type of carbs 
 Its better to have that than alcohol addiction. You can cut the sugar 100% Im certain you can 
 No I cant, cause I don’t want to! I feel more creative when I eat chocolate; it's like a drug for me. I don't smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, or use drugs.
