Be careful with cashu wallets, don’t put any serious money in yet. There were serious bugs and I’m not sure if they have been addressed. Best to play it safe.
 Which bugs?
Wallet draining entire balance on npub cash
But not receiving correctly? Balance doesn't disappear in npub.cash (see history there, all tokens remain stored forever)
Receiving fine. But it seemed every time I’d try to fetch balance it would become less and less 😂
That's not a bug, rather a UX confusion. npub.cash is like a vending machine. It shows you what you received since the last time you opened it. All past tokens are in thee history.
I see that it has been updated so maybe UX changed but last I used it there was a balance and it was going up as people zapped. There was also a button to check balance or similar in copy and when you clicked that, you ur balance went down. It’s as if pressing the button to load the balance was depleting it. My wallet currently reads 8 sats but was at 60k at one point (I didn’t withdraw anything)
All tokens are still there. Please check history and confirm. Definitely not great UX IMO. I think the UI should behave differently than the API. Something for nostr:nprofile1qqsdmup6e2z6mcpeue6z6kl08he49hcen5xnrc3tnpvw0mdgtjemh0spzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuvrcvd5xzapwvdhk6qg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueqgxmmun
Yes, I agree. Ideally npub.cash is used through a wallet, which handles this. The website is more of a demo

However there is a pop-up telling you about all of this when withdrawing :>
Oh yeah, nostr:nprofile1qqsph3c2q9yt8uckmgelu0yf7glruudvfluesqn7cuftjpwdynm2gygprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyt8wumn8ghj7am0wshxummnw3ezuurpwf68jtcpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0gn5qes have you tried npub.cash via cashu.me ? You can withdraw into it directly (same for the cashu wallet in iris)
This is what I’m doing now and it works! Would recommend cashu.me instead
 Popup 😂
 Dialogue * 😂
Oh wow. You are right lol. The tokens are there and claimable despite balance showing zero (your previous explanation makes sense). I was treating it as a wallet the entire time and wondering why it’s getting depleted.

Def need some UX attention!
Let me know when you can, I'll see if they persist.
I’ve informed @Egge a while back. Not sure if the issue is fixed, very well could be.
Minibits had a pending transaction that got stuck on pending (it was months but mainly because I was lazy) I cut and pasted the money back into my wallet expecting the money to appear in my account... Instead the transaction was stated as complete. All OK, fine, I don't know what's happening under the hood... But now the money suddenly appears in my wallet. I still see the outgoing transaction as completed... I see no incoming transaction, but suddenly I have all the cash back.

Seems like a bug.
Sounds like a bug.... or Lightning getting stuck. Would be good to tell the user what's up. At least the coins are back.
I had a similar problem using Cashu.me (desktop browser) a couple days ago... though, it almost seemed like the problem was with the @Minibits mint wasn't responding or something. Regardless, the tokens seemed to be marked as both spent and pending within Cashu.me; and it wouldn't allow any transactions after that. I ended up Exporting Active Proofs and Reset the wallet, and all is well now; but, I feel like I should let someone know.

If this is the wrong place to let someone know, sorry for the longish explanation. Cashu.me doesn't seem to have a Nostr profile that I could find - which would be great for reporting bugs.
 👍
Yeah, you’re 100% correct! When it comes to investing or spending your money, it's crucial to be cautious. Start small and build your way up. This approach allows you to learn and adapt without risking too much at once. Remember, it's better to take your time and make informed decisions than to dive in headfirst and potentially lose everything."
 How to make a pancake?
I've burned 75 k sats on being an eCash early adopter - Most of it I lost in Mutiny, I was trying to sweep out to my cold storage wallet and the transaction bugged out. I still have a GitHub issue open about it, not sure if I'll be able to get any help with it now since Mutiny is shutting down...
That was Fedimint I assume. How did it happen?
Have learned this lesson the hard way

First with a significant amount

Next time with a fairly significant amount

F.
yet? i would never put a lot of sats into a cashu wallet even if they were really robust. it's best used for pocket change. mint rug risk will always exist.
