Thank you for your opinion, I respect it but I do not agree. I find the eternal debate and confrontation between extremists of both "worlds" overwhelming.
My aunt says the same thing about Bitcoin, that it is a scam. is she right, why?
Scammers are everywhere, just like people eager to build and develop things on some or other technologies and that doesn't make them scammers.
In fact, there is a Bitcoin channel there, where people who are not so prejudiced also talk about Bitcoin.
Here I only hear about farcaster and anything other than Bitcoin with contempt, and I think that's not healthy or constructive.
Bitcoin’s history is fundamentally different.
-Ethereum started off with a presale/premine. Bitcoin did not.
-Ethereum abandoned POW for POS, which is much more beneficial to insiders.
-Ethereum has a history of chain rollbacks in response to a security compromise (DAO hack)
-Ethereum has a centralized foundation and clear leaders (Vitalik) controlling development. Bitcoin does not. Satoshi disappeared ages ago, and the Bitcoin Foundation long since disbanded.
-The Ethereum community has a long history of slimy pump and dumps. ICOs, DeFi, DAOs, NFTs. Literally thousands of scams launched on top of ETH.
-Ethereum has had countless hard forks (consensus changes). Bitcoin is almost impossible to change.
I haber been here since 2017, I know the history, i develop bitcoin only software and work in the industry, thank you.
