But then, this is all part of the magic of legal alchemy I suppose. Many intuitive ideas are probably wrong when you deal in alchemy.
I’d be happy with separate laws, one against indoctrination and one that ensures that parents are given open access to all student records and are always notified of any changes. The second law would not specify “gender change” or anything like that, but just any change – mailing address, anything involving health records, etc.
