These policies about notifying parents when kids “change pronouns” are making my head spin. On the one hand, ensuring that schools and other entities are never elevated above parents is very important (independent of trans ideology), but on the other hand, teachers really should never be using inaccurate pronouns for kids, period. Doing it, but notifying parents, is such a small victory that I’m not sure it should even count as a victory.
I feel the specific laws on "pronoun changes" sort of deepen the rabbit hole of crazy... we'd be better off against broader protection against indoctrination... But then, this is all part of the magic of legal alchemy I suppose. Many intuitive ideas are probably wrong when you deal in alchemy.
Shouldn't teachers of all people be telling the TRUTH?
