@a2f3726b He's trying to fulfill two promises. One that he would replace Feinstein with an African/American woman, and also because he said that he wouldn't choose amongst the three front runners for the permanent 2024 election. Other then that, I've got no clue.

I wouldn't choose the front runners either, some are already in office, you'd just move the issue down the line.

If she's the most qualified person then that's great for California.
