In all seriousness, encouraging someone to buy something they don’t understand makes it unlikely they’ll hold throughout price discovery.  Can blow up in your face in particularly bad way because they’re your family (or friends)

 yeah I’ve definitely made him aware of the volatility and that ideally this isn’t something you want to sell in the short term, but I do think that he understands it a little better now as opposed to a few years ago. we’ll see, I’m just happy he’s off 0!
