 my dad has been a no coiner and for years has put up with me trying to orange pill him. This goes back to #bitcoin sub 15k. 

today, using @River he finally got off 0! 

super happy for him and hopefully more family members will follow. I guess price is the biggest driver of conviction after all.

In all seriousness, encouraging someone to buy something they don’t understand makes it unlikely they’ll hold throughout price discovery.  Can blow up in your face in particularly bad way because they’re your family (or friends)

 yeah I’ve definitely made him aware of the volatility and that ideally this isn’t something you want to sell in the short term, but I do think that he understands it a little better now as opposed to a few years ago. we’ll see, I’m just happy he’s off 0!

 thank you for having a simple, BTC only experience and thank you for proof of reserves!!! it really does make a difference IMO when trying to onboard newbies
