 Occasionally I am contacted by people who have severe climate anxiety (or climate depression). In my experience there is very often something else in the background going on. But I wonder if anyone on here has good resources to point people towards (other than psychological help) #ClimateAnxiety #KlimaAngst #KlimaDepression #ClimateDepression
 @ad951bfd Not really. But I have experienced the same thing with people contacting me about very strong war anxiety, where they really don’t need factual information from a military analyst but rather coping guidance from a therapist.
 @ad951bfd

In such cases I recommend the book "Klimagefühle" by @43eb3a4d and Mareike Schulze, founders of Psychologists/Psychotherapists for Future, but I don't know if there are any translated versions (it's german).
 @ad951bfd For the feeling of hopelessness, I only have my Klimalinks: https://www.draketo.de/wissen/klimalinks

They show that good things happen, that people are active, and that we have a chance to preserve an inhabitable earth for future generations.
 @ad951bfd This page has some suggestions and resources -- https://www.psycom.net/anxiety/coping-climate-grief-anxiety
 @ad951bfd the book "hospicing modernity" by vanessa machado de oliveira .

the first half of it is preparing the listener for dealing w/the heavy facts of the situation (so climate aware people can skip that part), but the second half is pretty good.
