What do you look for when shopping for phone chargers? #asknostr
Ic chip that prevents overcharging.
Do you know if the fast charging wears out the battery faster over time?
Yes it has. My phone is slowly dying 3.5% a year due to fast 2 amp charging https://image.nostr.build/0b85d84e0fd9f64bc93553f8549abc98b3ffad3f0b85dbca0726568e747ea9f2.jpg
Don't get one. Get a GAN charger with at least 60 W and use that for everything you're charging.
That’s what I was looking at just now 😆 Sometimes I wonder how much of what I read is just marketing garbage.
Those GAN chargers are *the* shit. I am using one right now. Its as small as a phone charger but charges my laptop faster then the one that was included.
I know the Apple chargers are shit compared to the fast charging stuff.
Its all about wattage, so Apple can get pretty good as well. But not in size per watt. Just a matter of time until they switch to GaN.
Recently bought a 160w gan charger from ugreen. It charger my laptop with 140w over usbc or multiple devices at lower wattages but quickly. One charger to replace them all 😋
I think the per port wattage is important and some of those chargers come with so many ports. Do you know how many yours has and what wattage?
Bought this one when it was on sale. Depends on how many port you use at once, It's in the product description https://www.amazon.nl/-/en/gp/aw/d/B0CMXFVB71?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
