yeah i sort of get this... twitter is so big that it has some fairly airtight bubbles, and at least with a small account, it can feel safer within one, because people there have some shared context and understanding
(sometimes posts escape a bubble and become dogpiling fodder and it goes very wrong, but still...)

here it feels very open, which makes it hard to talk about anything personal without it somehow being misinterpreted or taken out of context

dunno how this can change, but until then, inviting some of my friends here seems like a bad idea
