All my friends said I was crazy… You make that much money And you live in a small apartment In a poor country overseas Why? You could be living THE LIFE Why not buy a big house Buy that expensive truck Go on vacation You deserve it… All my friends said I was crazy… You’re missing out Why don’t you invest with us? Buy this apartment Remodel that house Buy this stock You have to diversify… And now… When I tell them I don’t work anymore… Not for money It’s just not worth my time I make music I read and write 4 to 5 hours a day I am in the gym twice a day I spend time with my family I know the people who grow my food I travel the world to kitesurf I go camping and hiking I don’t have to work for the rest of my life… They say, “Man, that’s crazy” It wasn’t easy It was rough I had my doubts and fears But I held the line Do the same Stay humble Stack sats HODL And join us The good life Is on a bitcoin standard ✊🏼 #GM #goodmorning #btc #bitcoin #plebchain #coffeechain #pleb #allin #introductions nostr:note13rtmffxysqszvs6unkqmf8sqnpeqaxcr8nnfjk6yjswy7hr9tl5szzvd9f
How many cycles did you have to hold through before you could live like this?
Only 2… but I went all-in with my entire life savings I sold everything I owned I put in every paycheck I lived humble, on less than 20% of my income
How much bitcoin do you think someone would need today in order to retire in 2 cycles?
That number will be 100% dependent on the style of life you are living now (ie how much you spend vs how much you make) and WHERE you live (cost basis for various countries differ greatly) VS The changes you are able to make to build the life you want, once you decide what you want, and what you are willing to sacrifice to get it… Happy to continue the convo via DM There is no simply answer to that question, but I am happy to share my thoughts and opinions on the subject
If you spend 2% of your stack per year, it will last 50 years. How much does 2% of your stack need to be worth to take a year off? Times that number by 50. If you think you'll live longer than 50 years, adjust accordingly. It's Morgen Rochard's idea, but I agree.
I’m living to 100 but how do I know how much I need annually? 🤔
My advice is to reduce expenses as much as possible while prioritizing quality of life… I live off of a fraction of what it would cost me to live in the States… way easier to control your costs than to make more money, which makes the numbers a hell of a lot easier to crunch
Congratulations! Where do you write?
For now I am not publishing anything… still finding my style and producing content without any expectations or desire to share the majority of it… but it’s a goal for this next year to begin publishing under a ghost name
I understand. I look forward to reading it one day. Hopefully I'll find your new nym oh habla.news and highlighter.com
🫡 I’ll definitely post a link to my content on Nostr once I do have content to share publicly. Appreciate that!
