It kinda did though... I figured being called a " rich nerd " may illicit a condescending reply. Your reply was pretty mild, I'd hoped for a stronger insult. 😉 While I'm sure this interaction didn't do it, I imagine you have been offended before in your life. Or at the least have felt the feelings many would describe as being offended or upset, prior to reacting in a less than stoic manner. I'll be the first to admit I have. Generally I don't call it offended, I say someone pissed me off, semantics. Saw your other post and curiosity got the best of me.

I agree they could be distinct in cognitive interpretation, and respect that for you they clearly are. But I bet both being offended and being pissed off, elevate our blood pressure and cause acute physical reactions in us that are almost identical, regardless of which one produced the response. But fuck it, you wouldn't know. 😉
