I prefer no one is able to vote to control my life, but, given the current voting system the USA is in, If you could prevent an entire subset of voters who are more easily persuade with emotional propaganda, wouldn’t lead to better voters? If you haven’t reviewed the history of women voting, and the severe changes after they began voting, give it a look. It’s pretty fascinating.
My high school government teacher said "We got women's suffrage and have been suffering ever since."
And he was an elected Democrat office holder! (an old-school, rational, JFK-style Democrat)

democracy only works when those who vote have something at stake
without that limitation people vote for the largesse taken from the losers of the vote and it rolls down hill from there on
