 cities are noisy, dirty, dangerous and barren.  without the natural energy of trees and such, it’s more difficult to thrive. 
 More dangerous/expensive for a kid to be gaining independence. Can't walk/bike anywhere alone, less open spaces.

If there would be a metric for the time the kid spends in front of the TV/PC, that might be even more striking correlation with earning potential. 
 yeah, too much internet or screens is probably not great for mental calmness, clarity or developing a healthy sense of self.

i’m sure there are some great cities that are clean & peaceful with easy access to nature; those are cities i wouldn’t mind living in.  maybe vancouver, toronto…?  nordic cities?  i dunno tho never been…😅 seoul is clean & safe w pockets of nature including a river through it & easy access out to rural areas, but it’s also a gigantic metropolis with tall buildings everywhere.
