Best thing we can do is build better privacy tools, better webs of trust, & teach kids how to navigate safely through dangerous waters.
I am raising my kids to be aware of this. They have DeGoogled locked down kid phones, connected to our family Nextcloud online ecosystem, with next to no Big Tech on them. We do give them some church and school apps (Canvas, Team Snap, etc.) from the Aurora "playstore", and Be Real. That's it. Everything else is open source privacy apps. I banned Discord that the cheer team decided to use. There are too many gamer pervs on Discord.
