It might sound funny, but in 2016 I wanted to have green card, American passport. Hah! I want say it now it’s shit! And will not going for it ! nostr:note1en0zyykuydzw9u2kazw592pevct2efx54juqn9lc4jk4k4vzkqrqfsvnjf
One of my best friends was in the process of immigrating from the EU after going to grad school in the US. Trump’s USCIS made him reverse course and he’s never looked back
I think the US is much better positioned than the EU for the next decade, and certain regions of the US are among the best places in the world to live (and certain others among the worst)
As bad as it’s getting in the US, the rule of law is still respected
Is it a good thing? The source of the law is the state!
The source of civil law is the State. The source of common law is experience.

It depends on how you live :)
This is really sad to me. I became a naturalized citizen after a too long of a wait. This was back when I felt great about the country. There was hope, promise, potential. But all that went to shit it seems. US is become increasingly dystopian with draconian policies. For the life of me I don't understand why such a great nation seeks to compete with China on who can do the most harm to human rights and flourishing.
It's hit me hard! I mean REALLY HARD! I'm still here tho...breathing & such
Or be an American and do everything you can to keep it free.
What for? There are other countries to live in. Also, I consider Bitcoin a country and being a bitcoiner is far more important than being a citizen of any fiat county.
That's what most of us are doing here.
Now is Not a great time for that...we are losing freedoms. I no longer recognize this country,I was born in
