 Why is getting connected to the beta via testflight such a f'ing nightmare.  Makes me not want to test anything on the f'ing apple phone.

 Because TestFlight requires some sort of invite code to register.  Although it is advertised as Open Beta no mention of how to obtain an invite.

This wastes my time and pisses me off.
