We need more things like this, more focus on rehabilitation. Prison is sufficient punishment as it is, the goal should be to keep people from coming back. That requires a change of mind, heart and opportunity. This is 2 of the 3 of that.

I adopted a dog from the prison tails program. It was amazing. Each prisoner gets a dog to not only take care of but train with basic commands. They were all so responsible and proud and yea there were tears when the dogs were adopted. But it is such a great program and I wish there were more like it.

I worked at the Brownwood TX youth prison. they had a program with dogs. it is amazing to see people change and become better because they are taking care of something other than themselves.
