You can zap anyone with a lightning address. Fediverse users don’t have these from what I know 

 Does the bridge support dms? If so, then yes. Everyone who has an npub has an npub.cash address that will notify the user when you send funds to it.

That said, don't throw money at people who don't appreciate it. If they don't have a configured lightning address on their profile, they probably won't appreciate it. 

 Agreed. I was contemplating the possibility/plausibility of running a peertube instance, and be paid in sats, for uploaded content.  

 Ah you mean the other way around? It is unlikely that other platforms and their clients will allow others to zap you. 

 I'm workin on a foss plugin that enables exactly that. Cross-app, cross-network zaps. Zap the video/podcast creator/uploader, as well as fediverse/hive/nostr commenters on the streams, so everyone can earn a bit and chat with each other in the comments.h Stay tuned for more :)

 yuck, i hate browser extensions. no, it's a plugin for peertube instances. 

 Yes! You can set a profile field in your fediverse profile to ⚡and your lightning address and mostr should translate it into correct field on the nostr profile.
