You don't fight a war on that scale without the whole population being substantially involved. It's estimated something like 10-20% of Russia's entire GDP is going to the invasion.
Russia isn't a despotic state. Huge numbers of Russia's have left, because they disagreed with the war. The people remaining tend to either be poor, or immoral.
Next time your country government does something wrong I'm going to assume you are either poor or immoral then for not leaving
Living in a country doesn't mean you are OK with what the government does militarily or otherwise. People stay because their family is there, their friends are there and their entire history is there.
Last time my country did something seriously wrong – but _much_ less wrong than the Russian invasion of Ukraine – I did in fact leave.
It's not ok to demonize all Russians just because they are Russian. They don't have a say in what the military who is controlled by the government does. Is every American to blame for Vietnam, Is every Chinese person to blame for Tienimen Square? Obviously not.
I don't know if you're from USA, but USA state is the biggest terrorist organization on earth.
Does that mean that everyone born in the US is a terrorist? Obviously not. This is my point. Not all Russians are bad because the Russian government does something bad.
Off course not, I agree with you. But some people seem to believe that some state agtessions is good.
