OSM and its various clients aren't as good as Google Maps, but they work solidly once you learn to work with them not against them :D

When doing an address search, first drag and center the map somewhere vaguely near where you think your address is. OSM is running the search on your hardware not Google's so it can use all the help it can get. And leave out punctuation, for some reason its better without it...

"You were here 29 days ago!" said Google Maps to Low Information Voter. Disabled the creepy thing then and there... 

 1. Use "GMaps WV" to look up address

2. Share the location to "OsmAnd" or MagicEarth or OrganicMaps. OsmAnd has more features, such as tile overlays.

3. You can overlay Google real time traffic tiles in OsmAnd for traffic conditions.

This way you can navigate as good as using the GMaps app without being tracked and data mined.
