 Some of my findings from my tour with the #Brompton from Sweden to Graz in Austria.

(1) 20 kilogram of luggage works fine.

(2) The Brompton rolls firmly on all kinds of surfaces.

(3) I could ride up to 7% on paved roads. When steeper, I had to push.

(4) Crossing the Alps was no major problem. All in all, I had to push about two hours. This was mainly getting up Koppen Pass on a gravel road between Obertraun and Bad Aussee in Austria.

 That sounds like an awesome time, I am jealous and happy for your experience.
 @e2c04242 Mojn!
Love your trip reports!

Possibly you have mentioned it elsewhere and I had not read it: What gears does your Brompton have?
Looks like hub gears with 3 gears?

Have a good ride!
 @e2c04242 what gearing do you have? I've seen mods for the brompton to have a full 10sp cassette on the rear wheel but wonder why they don't just offer that as an option?
 @e2c04242

Cool!

How did the tyres hold up? I personally found the std marathons quite capable up to mud, where they show quite a normal city bike behaviour. Any flats?

 @e2c04242 What a fantastic trip! May I ask you about your gearing? What is your configuration?
