this is one of the books i wish i had read a translation instead of the original. It seems translators did a great work improving both style and correcting grammar and spelling errors. The original in portuguese was almost unreadable when i first read it 30 years ago or so. 

 But is the book really any good?

I've seen a lot of people criticizing his books, although I don't know why...
