That’s fine, even when I say that something is fact it is open for interpretation. The human mind is deeply flawed and we perceive virtually nothing.

You are speculating also, you do not know what a photon is capable of. No one does. All of quantum theory is a mystery as of now.

The brain evolved to keep us safe, not show us truth. Using the brain to find universal truths is a paradox. We know nothing. Im not impressed with phds and learned “knowledge”. It’s all built on a lie. The lie is the human mind.
I agree it’s quite easy to deceive human mind, and that it is forgetful and misconstrues reality.
That is why we have scientific method in place, to take the human bias out of the equation.
Einstein’s general relativity and quantum mechanics is established not because someone said so, but because it precisely predicts the outcome of established facts and not yet observed phenomenon.
For instance, general relativity predicted bending of light during solar eclipse and presence of gravitational waves that was experimentally validated later.
Again I agree with you. But even peer reviewed scientific fact can change! Michio Kaku said in his study of string theory and quantum mechanics that Einstein’s theories may be “dead”.. 😂😂😂.

My personal opinion is that the human mind tries to make things “rational” but how can you rationalize when you are using a flawed tool for the measurement? The brain did not evolve to perceive truth.

We may be alive to see the fall of relativity theory. Who knows. Much of it “works” but just because something works does not mean it’s universal fact.

Anyway, I’m not arguing with you, I agree with almost everything you said. I think there will be plenty more discoveries that reverse the way we view our perceived reality. And many mysteries will never be able to be solved using the human mind, it simply can’t see certain things. I’ll continue mixing scientific fact with downloaded thoughts from the universal consciousness. I don’t ask anyone to believe anything I say. If it resonates, great, if it sounds stupid, that’s fine too. Good luck on your path. 🤝
🤝 While the scientific method is undeniably a cornerstone of our understanding, relying on it exclusively offers a limited perspective that omits crucial aspects of human experience, especially consciousness. Consciousness isn’t just a passive observer; it’s an active participant in the fabric of reality.

Quantum mechanics, one of the most successful theories in modern physics, has shown us through the observer effect that the mere act of observing can change the outcome of an experiment. This suggests that consciousness, our awareness and attention, plays a direct role in the physical world. Nobel laureate Eugene Wigner even proposed that consciousness is fundamental to the quantum measurement process, highlighting how deeply intertwined it is with reality.

Beyond physics, consider the placebo effect in medicine. Patients have shown real, measurable improvements in their health simply by believing they are receiving treatment, even when they’re given a non-active substance. This is consciousness at work, influencing biological processes in ways that challenge a purely scientific or mechanistic view of the body.

Then there’s the hard problem of consciousness, a term coined by philosopher David Chalmers. Despite advancements in neuroscience, we still cannot explain how subjective experiences (what it feels like to be you) arise from the physical processes in the brain. This gap in understanding indicates that consciousness cannot be fully understood or explained by current scientific methods alone.

The history of science itself shows that consciousness and subjective experiences often precede scientific discoveries. For example, ya’ll discussed the double-slit experiment, which challenged the classical understanding of particles and waves, was initially rooted in thought experiments; products of conscious reflection and intuition. This demonstrates that consciousness doesn’t just observe reality; it can also lead us to new paradigms of understanding.

That all said, while the scientific method is essential, it’s only one part of the equation. Consciousness, with its profound influence on both the physical world and our subjective experience, must be acknowledged if we are to gain a complete understanding of reality. Ignoring it leaves us with a fragmented and incomplete picture of the world we live in.

Btw- love this discussion guys, sorry for just barging in 😂🤝
I love it too. Even as we are talking I heard a voice in my head say “ you can’t understand the universe because you WANT to understand it”.. what I take that to mean is the universe is always being observed by us specifically to “understand” how it works. Idk. Will elaborate more later I suppose. 😂😂😂
As I said the act of measurement (which requires interaction with what is being measured) in QM collapses the wave function. The premise is it requires some an observer.

QM precisely predicts the working of the universe: there is no question on it; the physical interpretation is questionable, but there is no analogy (of human experience) to explain the working of sub atomic particles.

Science advances one funeral at the time. Einstein proved the working of universe was different than what Newton predicted, but newton’s law works in the human scale.

Also, we know what photons are capable of to a great degree, there is always some uncertainty as Heisenberg aptly pointed out.
Also science teaches us to question everything (just like bitcoin), like the speed of light, but no hypothesis has been proven which builds more confidence on the max speed is the speed of light in the universe; that doesn’t mean we cannot perturb space time (time warp, etc)

To sum it all, you might say its subjective but some things are not like the shape of the earth, the speed of light, the value of pi, the fine structure constant.
I only pointed out flaw in the argument of buddha’s initial post that electron “knowing” it is observed. Or that we have energy access on the other-side because high entropy energy is unusable.
