@7ccb675f I've always maintained that the biggest obstacle, the largest risk for authors lies with the publishers who can't take the risk of publishing somebody new. Publishing my own work doesn't mean it will find an audience. At least readers will have a chance to find it without a publisher balancing available production capacity against name recognition and leaving the manuscript (and writer) to wither.
