Dude. Any form of "approved speech" pisses me off. I don't usually get upset but it's an infringement on a basic human right.
It's the automated crap that really gets me fired up. Just like block lists on fedi. Sure, I might call someone a retard, and that's offensive and impolite. Feel free to tell me or just send me a middle finger emoji and move on. I also might have the solution to your major problem because I get up to all sorts of random shit. Blocking me automatically and permanently because I called someone a dimwit a year ago hurts you, not me. People should stop hurting themselves. Don't support this centralized control bullshit. We can be better and stronger than that.
Humans gotta grow a set. All of us gotta stand up for our rights and freedoms. Like it or not, NOSTR will be a battlefield of free speech.

I would say we have to let him do what he wants on his relay. I’m assuming other relays can just ignore this thing? I’m not really sure what “reporting” entails though.
Well sure we have to let anyone do whatever they want. That's the point. I just can't understand how someone can do the same dumb thing with the same dumb result over and over. Next step is only joining relays that kick out anyone with X number of reports. Hugboxing. Over and over. It doesn't affect me, but watching it is frustrating.

Nostr has no magical centralized authority which is going to come somehow remove content from your app or relays. We’re labeling content so users can make choices about their own experience on Nostr. Apple and Google require the label process be called a “report” so that’s why it’s called that. That’s also why it’s called a 1984 event. But nobody’s forcing you to use apps which pay attention to these events. Nobody’s asking you to connect to the relay that host them.
