Though the burning thing is just another reason I don’t think I’ll bother with Cassidy’s book. She is always dropping little clues of ominous goings on. But then playing it like she too innocent to suspect anything. No one gets a job like hers being innocent. She is likely one of the smarter people they had around. I don’t buy the whole “oh golly gee Mark, I sure hope you aren’t an evil power hungry fascist. An innocent girl like me wouldn’t know anything about such complex political things!”
@134318c2 I have been routinely disgusted by folks' reaction to her spilling the tea. Lady, you sat on your hands and did nothing while all this was going down. If that doesn't spell complicity, I don't know what does.
@176ccc2b @134318c2 You can't have walked full-on into the Trump administration and not known what it was, that's what gets me. Like, nobody was hiding it. We all knew what it was. Blind ambition is not a free pass, even if you fess up after the fact.
@c95f59dc @134318c2 @f55632d5 "Blind ambition is not a free pass, even if you fess up after the fact." Very well put. I'm (for better or worse) pretty transactional and ambitious. I saw right through that very thinly veiled attempt at trying to save her ... whatever she still had to cling to during the J6 Committee hearings. Pot, the kettle is calling. Ring ring.
