Forgive and forget
I thought it was about maintaining dignity while being beaten. Holding a grudge doesn't help you though. Don't think I'll take a second beating kindly either.
Some sort of a calculated forgiveness. I haven't made up my mind entirely about this topic. Somehow I've imagined forgiveness to be a 0 or 1 kind of game, but maybe there are nuances.
Technically there is two more cheeks. But if they start to kick your arse it's no forgiveness time.
