Fryin’ okra https://image.nostr.build/86bd38cac90b0d3c7977f6350f5acc1ae270f32ff9ba203906718c6bffd70454.jpg
I’ve never been able to get it right. Usually the breading comes off and sticks to the bottom and burns
These are frozen cut okra which I thaw directly in water (cut bag open, pour okra in). Drained and then tossed in pure corn meal. I generally toss and the let sit for a minute while I do something else then toss again and let sit . . . rinse and repeat until then look like rocks FRY at 365 fat but do not disturb much until you pull them off. https://image.nostr.build/6ae137b7a5b68a2e4d4f9be340c4ec026787f7f2cd927bcca4240133aacca194.jpg
Love some fried okra, especially out of the iron. Pickled okra is solid but not the epic deliciousness of fried. I'm wanting to be pretentious and try it in duck fat and see if it tastes good
How could it not?
