How many times can they submit responses ? Like how easy is it to game ? multiple nsecs ? Same device ? IP?
I have no idea, but itβs still better than just tallying up comments. People worry too much about all this stuff when it comes to polls IMO.
certain polls donβt drastically change things some do
You can set the PoW really high and clients could easily filter results using WoT. You can let users choose how to filter results.
clients are already filtering the results ?
I donβt think anyone has implemented these types of polls except Pollerama. Iβm not sure if itβs doing any result filtering. @ABH3PO made Pollerama.
The only benefit to polling by comments over Pollerama style polls is that your note gets boosted in trending feeds from all the comments
good for discovery of the poll I guess
I still think these types of polls would be really popular if clients like Damus started supporting them
is Will & elsat aware of it ?
I dunno, but people keep asking for it
Oh well if people are asking for it then surely itβs on the roadmap
I just looked at the nips repo and the polls nip was removed π. There seems to be some drama about it. https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/commit/6cd598d02cceec76f6c4df6e061c4135ca3e3fd3
Why?
just another day in the nostr nips repo π https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1501
The guy wants to loop through the whole database to count polls.
Wen polls though? Thatβs all we care about. π
Polls should not have been removed. There wasnt consensus for that.
Decentralize git
Infinite.
Polls on a decentralised system is non-trivial, nigh impossible..
It doesnβt need to be perfect. Pollerama is good enough from a userβs perspective. https://pollerama.fun
Pollerama is filtering with PoW and also lists based filtering if you login
What does lists based filtering mean?
Kind:30000 follow sets, if you login with an extension you can filter the results based on your contact list or any other follow set you've created
