Oddbean new post about login | logout This is a pretty minor application of the concept, but, gosh I hate HOAs. Most of them suck. I can certainly see Daev's point, since, we do have the examples of HOAs going off the rail. So, that's certainly something to watch out for.
I don't feel ridiculous for being paranoid. I've designed a house that is more bulletproof and also less exposing of the occupants to sniper fire, while still being cozy. I just should have started this a decade ago...
