I 100% agree with you on this. What Zeus and Green are doing in my opinion is the right path. There is still work to do. And who knows, maybe it doesn’t work out. But we definitely need at least try to remove as much of hurdles so that normal people can use these technologies while staying as sovereign as possible. Let’s not forget, this is a good middle ground. Between a number of great products. Each can choose what they are comfortable with. More options, would get more people into the space.

100% agree. And as Peter McCormack says in the latest podcast with Christian Decker from Green. “I dont want to know how it works. Thats for the developers to figure out. I just want it to work.” And I completely agree. If everyone should know everything about everything life would be way too complicated. And it’s complicated enough as it is.
Why do people think of it as an attack?
I believe that's because Zeus mobile node is a pruned node which doesn't store the full history of the time chain. Some people might think that if less people are running nodes with full history and more runs just pruned nodes, it might weaken the network 🤔

Running Zeus has been as reliable or better than when I ran LND and CLN on Start 9.
We're all maxis here but the reality of life is that most folk are happy to use custodial services to abstract away the technical issues. They just don't care. If there are so few maxis running a node, how can we expect n00bs to the space to understand why they should and actually do it?
It's hard to predict on that, my grandfather for example knew many things like building a suit, a shirt taking care of the farm and all animals, fixing the tractor engine at a high level, his sister was the same and many people of their generation. Maybe on a bitcoin standard will be less division of labour and people will learn to do more stuff by themselves just because money, true money costs too much to simply give away.
