Woah! I have never seen such a haul
I was very surprised! It was 10 plants per box/variety 🙌🏼
We decided against potatoes this year because we got such a small crop for the effort
How do you plant them? We plant them a little raised like this and when the weeds grow we crop them and put even more soil on top so there is more space for the growth https://image.nostr.build/a54421dba354faa9d2b66867e5cd9e970b389d6992163903c206d159bacbef85.jpg
Thats how we did it, that being said we pulled them mid July, maybe we didn’t let them grow the whole season
Maybe a little late, there is a saying in Germany „if you plant me in April, I grow when I want and if you plant me in may, I grow instantly“ Maybe that works for your area, too! I would like to plant them earlier next year (this year we had below freezing by the end of April so I planted them in may) good luck if you decide to try growing potatoes again! 🥔
Here is how i do mine (picture from the previous year but its the same anyway) https://image.nostr.build/c5b909fadb913a9cbdad4b3681f51685b82b923d97eb6d9f43841991c4aaf333.jpg I harvested a month ago. In general i harvest in August
Huge plot! They look great
I don't know if it is huge. There are about 250 roots there, but i use other gardens too. Usually i plant a little bit more than 300 roots
I casually did like 50 wow, any secrets to keeping them into the winter?
When do you plant?
If the weather is good i plant in february and hatvestbearlier than august. Usually it is not that good and i plant in march or even april. Keep in mind i am in Greece...
February is my coldest month. I usually start the spring bed in March
Quit bragging lol
