I think you're confusing ecash protocols (Cashu/Fedimints) with the cryptocurrency 'eCash' (XEC)

But otherwise I agree with everything you said. The mental gymnastics from some Bitcoin maxis that don't believe ecash is a shitcoin, literal IOUs, yet believe other cryptos are, is too much (doesnt mean ecash isn't useful and doesn't have it's own unique advantages)
