There was a pretty good rude awakening not too long ago where someone was going around showing everybody their IP address in posts.

Definitely a bit of a harsh method, but it got the point across. 

 Oof, hopefully that enlightened people... not a fun way to learn 😬 

 I would like to say it was a Mass Awakening and everyone signed up for a VPN if they weren't already. But knowing people I bet a lot already forgot.
