Just think how people feel about this in a frontline country like Poland, whose authorities are so deeply stuck in the American ass that they don't even know there is a world outside.
Really? For what I saw nd know, Polaks hate Russians, did and forever will, all of them.
I think this is a slight exaggeration. But they certainly don't want to be at war with Russia, much less have Polish territory become the target of Putin's retaliatory strikes against NATO.
Europe is being thrown under the bus
Exactly. Europe is destroying its economy and clearing out its already nearly empty armaments depots to give the Ukrainian brawl, triggered by the U.S. in 2014, its last breath. But nothing else could be expected from a continent that is virtually defenseless without America's military umbrella, and therefore completely dependent on its hegemon.
well I don't know how do they feel about it? what do they think of Russian aggression? in Poland and Lithuania? cuz if Russia takes Ukraine then who's next?
Next is NATO. This is the clue of the matter: Ukraine is not in NATO, nor is it an ally of Poland. It was the attempt to draw it into NATO that triggered Russia's aggression.
I understand Russia's geopolitical imperatives and concerns at some level and if they had one in two weeks like they thought they would like everybody thought they would then it would be different as it is they are humiliated small power with the GDP of Italy they basically lost. they need to back off and get out of there if they want it to not get worse
They will not leave Ukraine.
Ukraine will just end up being swallowed by Poland and Russia with a DMZ in the middle
This would be a tragedy for Poland. Just look at the history of our country, where Ukrainians have always been a centrifugal force, destroying the state. But Poland is not a sovereign country, it is an American vassal state. If Washington issues an ultimatum, Polish troops will have to enter western Ukraine, and then some part of that country could de facto be incorporated into Poland. But the moment the war with Russia ends, Poles and Ukrainians will throw themselves at each other's throats. This is more than certain.
They just don't want NATO to take it. Plenty of opportunities to avoid this over the last 30 years, but some poeple just want war.
