are you sure?
We still haven't finished with statism... but compared to Cuba this is a paradise (I'm talking about freedom in general, economically not to mention) without being what an ANCAP aspires to
To me it looks like we haven't even started.. Economic freedom? Oh my... I respect and like you. So I'll agree to disagree. :)
I repeat: compared to Cuba it is a paradise, without being what an ANCAP aspires to 🤝 Cuba is very worse in the topic of freedom in general
Maybe. I spend alot of time there. Not that it can compare to living there, but I do have more insight than the general gringo population. There are lot of things feedom lovers would disagree with there. But what is freedom? Is it happiness? If its happiness, then people in Cuba seem alot happier than in Florida....
In fact, I can't think of anything right now that the Cuban state is more permissive in terms of freedom of expression, economics than the American state (without this being what a ANCAP aspires to) Cuba is regrettable in this
I agree to some extent. But literacy is 99%, infanty mortality significantly lower than in the USA, life expectancy much longer, free post secondary education. People here in Canada go there for dental procedures because they cant afford them here and the quality is great. The tobacco is the best in the world. The Rum is the best in the world. The crime is almost non existent. I saw children 5 years old and younger playing in downtown Havana without anyone worried about their safety. Tell the homeless in Flordiay and California tent city about American economic freedom. That is very statist of you too :)
Bro, doctors in Cuba falsify statistics in exchange for being able to collect a salary or to live... I was a doctor in Cuba, I have seen terrible things in there, the identity records of before falsified the dates of birth of the oldest people due to inefficiency, It is super common to see an old man who tells you that he was born in 1969 and they registered him in 1974 as his identification shows... tobacco and rum??? They are good, the best in the world I don't know, it is tradition in Cuba for a foreigner to try them, it is a centralized economy and they put a large part of their money into tourism, if they put effort into making them good. The crime is much greater than what the media reports (by the way, there is no independent press recognized by the government) without reaching the levels of the most disastrous states here... on my part it is not statist at all, I have clarified in all the post that it is not what an ANCAP aspires to, under that same logic I could say that the statements you just made about Cuba are very common of you (which is meaningless to accuse you of being common for that, like saying that it is my previous approach is very statist) In summary: the Cuban government controls all the media and the statistics are not credible at all, take the government's data with a grain of salt from Cuba (so as not to tell you that they are false)
Im not taking it from government data. Im taking it from my own eyes. No filters or special lenses or american propaganda required :)
Florida on the other hand, the crime i saw there, holy fuck.
Your eyes only see what the government shows you... spend a week in the “El Condado” neighborhood in Santa Clara, Villa Clara and talk and see the people who live there so you can see another part I'm not telling you that it is bigger or smaller than Florida, I'm just telling you that Cuba is planned for a large part of what foreigners see
Sure every country has its shit holes. But Cuba its almost non-existent compared to the things I saw in yankeestan. Some people weren't even human anymore.
I will spend a week there during my next trip this coming winter and will take lots of pictures and video to share here :)
I can. Bitcoin.
Nice list and good value here... What (in your opinion) is it that so many cubans (and asians) want to find home in the west under western standards, ... with that high level of taxes, bad medical support and all that bad stuff you listed? Are they all brainwashed?
The majority of people on earth are stupid. Would you agree?
Yes. I would. But I find especially the more clever and educated wanting to leave regimes like cuba, thailand, kasachstan.
Strange, many people here in Canada want to leave the anti-family society here and move to traditional places like Russia. Ive seen documentaries about many Americans and Brits doing the same. Farmers, policemen, all walks of life.
here's another one. Covid vaccination was not mandatory. Thats a big one. Even though they developed their own vax!
Covid vaccination is not mandatory, however, if you were not vaccinated during Covid, you would lose benefits (bags of food, etc.) and suffer stronger confinements with members of your family... for state workers (the vast majority) it was mandatory The vaccine statistics are false, I was vaccinated in Cuba and I had to report only 2 adverse reactions a week to avoid sanctions in my job
You were a doctor.... im not surprised. The rest of the population it wasnt mandatory unless you got on a plane or a boat etc....
Bro, if you didn't get vaccinated you couldn't continue in your workplace... the government controls all the media, obviously you're never going to hear it except from someone who has been close to this and outside of Cuba, if you say it in Cuba it's likely that For 5 days the police chief has been knocking on the door of your house
no they dont. Ill call you out on this one. You can watch media from all around the world just not CNN or FOX or any American news. Mexican, Russian, european, Asian news was everywhere.
no thats not true, i had many people criticize the government there but for other reasons, they werent scared of telling me and werent looking over their shoulder. This is Florida Cuba propaganda, Scarface lol
When was the last time you visited your home? It sounds like decades...
The government (controlled by corporations) controls media in every country. ESPECIALLY IN YANKEESTAN. This is why we hate all forms of government.
The things both Biden and Trump say to their people is that they solve all the problems on this planet lol. And Americans gobble it up like Bill Cosby's J-E-L-L-O!
And the yankees say there are no private businesses in Cuba lol. Thank you for clarifying that there is a distrinction between state and private industry.
Private property in Cuba??? Of course, the Mipymes raise their prices, confiscate their products and force them to sell them if they do not do the government's price... come on bro
Im only quoting from your implied reply about "state workers"
This is how they differentiate the workers of Mipymes (“self-employed” as they are called) who suffer everything I mentioned before from the workers of state companies
I know you differentiate between locals and foreigners and how they are treated. I'll accept that as a reasonable point. However, when I visit Dominican or Mexico, the standards are much lower, hotels cracked, dirty, falling apart. Nobody smiles at me and they all expect tips for doing a shitty job. In Cuba, the customs officials ladies even flirt with me when i speak spanish with them, nobody expects tips, not allowed to ask, and everyone smiles and goes above and beyond in their job. Things are dong to a higher standard and properly. You get a sense of a non-degenerate society. This makes me want to tip them. Then I go to the poorest neighbourhoods I can find in cuba and give them all my old clothes, some money, old technilogical items. In those poorest neighborhoods, nobody is homeless. I've only seen one person in Havana who looked homeless, even though he wasnt, just a hardcore alcoholic.
Bro, they do it because your tip is more than what they earn in a month for their salary, they eat thanks to your tip that's why they make an effort to earn it... from other countries I can't give much opinion on the service, I've been through a few and it seemed similar to me everything in general at the service There are homeless people too... I have seen several die on the street, even from not eating... but we return to the same thing: I cannot put that on my death certificate because they punish me at work... in other countries there may be more or less: I don't know. My point is the same: the government lies too much, extremely
Bro, all governments lie. Many of them more than the Cuban government. American government especially. Have you seen the president of the United States on television? They think they are the ones who defeated Hitler too lol
Bro, my tip for mexicans and dominicans is more than their monthly salary too, by more than in Cuba. Yet they frown and grimace and demand the tips and fail to deliver quality service. I felt like i was being held at gunpoint. Not to mention the abductions for organs in Mexico and Dominican.
Here's another one... No forced gender questioning of children in school when they have behavioral problems. And another another one.. No taking away children from parents when they refuse to let them pretend to be soething their not.... Freedom from crack. Freedom from degenerates. Freedom from anti-intellectualism.
Freedom from pedophiles
Freedom from allowing your fellow citizen to exploit and enslave you.
Freedom from genetically modified food
freedom from worrying about unemployment or homelessness
Freedom from having your taxed income fund wars for the military industrial complex
Freedom from being turned down by your doctor when you don't have any money (USA)
Sounds really cool when posted on the internet. Try to live your life under their regime in that area/state for a year or two and let me know what you prefer.
I already have. Have you?
Yes. Many years. Asia. Thailand first and now central asia. I think I have kind of the same values and principles you have... People here want to live in EU or USA. Many. Same in Thailand. I find some good things here too... but locals think I am crazy to leave my countrie and I can kind of see why. Just look at the state of opportunities, streets, education, buildings, products, corruption...
I moved to a small, poor, capitalist country in eastern europe for 5 years a long time ago. People there all talk about the golden years during socialism, where they didnt worry about all the things i listed above. They still talk like that today. They suffer unemployement, homelessness, forced LGBT ideology, drugs, mafia crime etc. All the American diseases have come there now.
I know they talk like this. This is what makes me think. Socialism is great for a short time period and when you lived their at this time... everything seems hard after that. It IS hard. So you think these people that want to live in the west (US and EU) wants to have it more easy and just enjoy socialism standards?
Orange Man said Cuba was bueno. https://s3.poster.place/poster-media/9725efd90fd58c2a7f7eaecdfb2ec685a14d46549cfe0f5778b5cfddacdb827f.png
People who have never studied socialism, don't understand there is more than one example. Im not really sure. When my parents immigrated here from a socialist country, they were promised dreams of a glamorous west. I wont make a mocker of the discussion or reveal how hard they had it in the beginning and their whole lives for my sake. But they were very disappointed and missed home very much. They become Canadianized over the years and never felt like they belonged back home anymore, especially since back home turned capitalist and failed miserably.... They all agree on the golden era of the 60s of their country.
Freedom from the cold-hearted western life
Freedom from worrying about your children being kidnapped or worse.
Freedom from declining services at coffee shops, restaurants, etc
Freedom from censorship like in the US. They have different censorship, I acknowledge that. In America, you can only watch NATO approved news. in Cuba, you can watch the rest of the world news but not American news. Thats a better freedom.
In america, people do not have the freedom to fly directly to Cuba. They have to fly here to Canada first in order to fly to cuba, and then have problems when they get home lol I guess we have a different world view outside of yankeestan....
People on reddit often talk of shortages in Cuba. We have more shortages and empty shelves here in Canada lol.
