I have a solution but I dont want it done.

world event oracle that lets you place bets on any outcome it tracks. all arguments solved publicly. profits to the winner, skim to the house. house is nostr dev fund.

Upside: 
Lotsa money into system. lotsa new people.

Downside: 
-encourages degeneracy and attracts degenerate behaviour that we may not want present at these early stages.
-opens up attack surface for feds and fuds
-signals a prioritization for growth over community health that i can't really stomach.

I dunno if I want Nostr to grow very fast rn rilly. I think we need a little more time to build durable culture and tools.
 

 there's an important primitive missing if you want to build any data source into nostr. 
how to stop sybil attacks? how to know who is lying and who has an army of voters to mess with a result?

hopefully we'll have a solution soon.
