This is a baptist tradition u assume true bc the boomer pastor told u it, but is not accurate. Reread this miracle account. Only the servants knew what he did. Master of the ceremony tells the groom u bring out the good wine first and the cheap wine second, but Jesus wine was the better. u bring out the good wine BEFORE people aare buzzed so they appreciate it and the cheap after when they are past caring. Drunken-Ness is not acceptable but repeating a biblically inaccurate traditional baptist line is damaging.
Quality does not mean that it's stronger. This could mean the flavors is better. It's not damaging, the world would be way better off without alcohol. I can tell you that much right now. While y'all fry your brains on that literal poison (includes weed), you're not doing anything productive in your life or in society. It is supreme weakness if you must fall back on alcohol in the face of difficulty. Escape the prison and find your way to freedom.
I'm simply saying don't use the bible as ure backup for this opinion because it doesn't back you up. Drunkenness is a sin. Alcohol consumption isnt.
It does back it up, actually. There are passages that talk about being sober (and not just in mind). Sure, a sip of wine at Christmas or other festivities isn't bad, but nine times out of ten, alcohol consumption goes far beyond that.
